Welcome to the Hex Files! This collection contains works that were once archived at thehexfiles.net.
The import of this archive to the AO3 was approved by the OTW Open Doors Committee on 19 June 2016, and was completed in July 2017. For more information, please see the announcement post.
As many stories were archived in one large import, there will be some incomplete stories. Unfortunately, with an import of this magnitude, it is impossible to mark each individual story incomplete.

Summary
Harry and Draco’s lives are headed in two different directions. One is destined for death or glory, while the other is going to Azkaban. Harry needs answers, and he goes to visit his Slytherin nemesis while being held for trial. The meetings in a barren, white cell changes Harry’s life. He learns the beginnings of his rich family history that had been denied him. And that there's much more to fight for than just ridding the world of Voldemort. HBP compliant. WIP

When Harry misses the Hogwarts train at King's Cross in his first year with no bloody idea what a platform nine and three-quarters even is, he comes across the Malfoys who had also missed the train because Draco had been unwilling to go to a school where everyone is wont to hate him, just like that boy at the robe shop.

Harry is forced to take a vacation before becoming a full Auror, for his own health. He is less than pleased about that fact. Adding to his displeasure? The fact that in order to ensure he used the allotted vacation time to relax and not continue to work himself to death he was assigned an escort - none other than his Auror partner, Draco Malfoy.
